LAHORE (Web Desk) – During past few days, Reham Khan has repeatedly expressed her desire to change the image of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa through the medium of film.
She is all set to don the producer’s hat as she is reportedly collaborating with a couple of production houses to produce a Pashto film.
Rehman is said to have two films lined up in production, one of which is Jaanan. She might be joining hands with two local production houses IRK Films and Tiger Entertainment to produce a Pashto film based on legend Pashto poet Khushal Khan Khattak. Though Reham is yet to confirm the news, her recent tweets have been indicative of her intent to produce the film.
There are two films under production this year. Both are commercial.The first one is a RomCom. The story is about a Pukhtoon family.

Jaanan’s lead star, the UK-based actress Armeena Rana Khan, spoke to Asian Image about her role in the film.
Rana Khan, who has become a familiar face for TV viewers through her roles in dramas ‘Ishq Parast’ and ‘Karb’, will also be seen in Yalghaar and Bin Roye, but says that Jaanan will be a first for local cinema.
“We are currently in pre-production and although I can’t reveal too (many details), I can reveal that it will showcase Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and its people in a positive light.”
Khan herself has shared that Jaanan will be a romantic comedy about a Pakhtun family.
Not only that, Reham aims to further try her hand at producing another film, an Urdu comedy movie. According to a statement from Babar Sheikh, the managing partner of Tiger Entertainment, Reham told him , “Film is the only medium through which we can portray the real image of our society to the world.”
According to Babar, Reham also stated, “Our aim is to remove all the misconceptions about Pashtuns in society through a light, comedy Pashto film.” Babar Sheikh also gave away the fact that whilst the Pushto movie does not yet have a director, Azfar Jafri has been chosen to direct the Urdu comedy film.
The news of Azfar’s selection was also duly confirmed by him and it was also revealed that the film is currently in pre-production stage and yet to be filmed.
Besides her film production aims, Reham Khan is also going to restart her TV show. However, she denied holding any political TV shows.

Reham Khan is a British Pakistani journalist and famous television anchor. She recently married cricketer turned politician Imran Khan. Her marriage to Khan also elevated her fame considerably. It will be interesting to see how much success she can achieve in properly representing Pakistan and demonstrating the Pashto culture with finesse.
