Justin Trudeau CHILLIN out with British rock band Coldplay and pop star Shakira

Canadian Prime Minister and ladies’ heartthrob Justin Trudeau was seen hanging out with the British rock band Coldplay and pop star Shakira at the Global Citizen Festival on the eve of the G20 summit in Hamburg.

At the occasion, Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire made a statement on gender equality and the importance of empowering women and girls in the fight for justice. The Global Citizen Festival is an event that raises awareness for issues related to global poverty.

Because the really big issues we face, like climate change, poverty, and disease, affect women and girls more than anyone else,” exclaimed Sophie while talking about Canada’s feminist international development policy.

That’s one of the messages I’ll be bringing with me to the G20 Leaders’ Summit this weekend, and I hope you’ll help to share that message too,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau then gave an introductory speech to Coldplay and the band’s lead singer Chris Martin, the event’s main patrons.

Martin opened the show performing on “Paradise,” followed by an emotionally charging performance on “Viva La Vida,” “Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Fix You.” Shakira joined the band later to a roaring reception performing on “Yellow” before Martin and her sat playfully down rapping vocals to “Chantaje”. Lastly, the duo performed a duet of her new solo number “Me Enamore”.
