Fans around the globe lost their marbles when Mahira Khan and Ranbir Kapoor shared a light moment together during the Global Teacher Prize ceremony in Dubai. However, it seems like they have a backstory and share a lot more than just a casual friendship, according to an Indian publication.
The Deccan Chronicle claims that the Rockstar hunk Ranbir has developed a fondness for another diva – and they claim that it’s none other than the one and only Mahira.
A source close to Ranbir opened up on the ‘budding friendship’ between the stars and termed their bond as ‘growing fondness between the two actors as work in progress.’
“Ranbir is very fond of this lady (Mahira). He speaks about her very warmly and affectionately, and proudly shows her pictures on his phone to close friends. This is building into something more than just a casual friendship,” a friend shared.
Mahira and Ranbir met in Dubai, where she was due to attend the Global Teacher Prize ceremony.
The two actors showed up at the event together and were all smiles for the paparazzi, who were eagerly waiting for them to make an appearance.
Ranbir made headlines previously when he addressed the Raees star as very pretty. “Mahira Khan from Pakistan is very pretty,” the Bombay Velvet star can be seen saying in a video.
