Pakistan Hockey team to participate in World League

ISLAMABAD (APP) – Pakistan will participate in the Hockey World League semifinals to be held in Beligum from June 20 to July 5.

The trials for the event were held at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium here.

The National Selection Committee comprised of Islahuddin Siddiqui/Chairman, Ayaz Mahmood, Khalid Bashir, Musaddiq Hussain/Members observed the trials and spotted following players.

Players include GOALKEEPERS: Imran Butt & Mazhar Abbas. Full Backs: Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Irfan & Syed Kashif Shah. Halves: Fareed Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan Junior, Muhammad Toseeq Arshad, Rashid Mahmood & Ammad Shakeel Butt.

Forwards: Muhammad Waqas Sharif, Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Umar Bhutta, Muhammad Kashif Ali, Muhammad Dilber, Muhammad Rizwan Senior, Ali Shan and Muhammad Azfar Yaqoob.

Team Officials include Shahnaz Sheikh Manager/Head Coach, Danish Kaleem Coach, Syed Abu Zar Umrao Coach and Dr. Asad Abbas Shah Team Doctor.
