Australia beats Pakistan in a crucial hockey match

ANTWERP (Web Desk) – Australia beat Pakistan in a one sided match by 6-1 in the FIH World Hockey League on Thursday at Antwerp, Belgium.

After first goal from Australia, Pakistani striker Irfan level the score in the 13th minute of first quarter. Australian player again netted ball and took the lead 2-1, The News Tribe cited.

In third quarter Australian team scored another goal and snatched the game from Pakistan and in fourth quarter Jamie netted another one and boost the lead to 4-1.

Australian player Govers scored goal on a corner in last quarter while Kangaroos succeeded to collect another one at a speed of 125 KPH in the last minute of the game.

It’s pertinent to mention here that Pakistan need to finish the tournament as one of the top three teams in World Hockey League to qualify for Olympics 2016.

India, Netherlands, Germany and Argentina have already qualified for mega event.
