KARACHI- Pakistani actor cum director Javed Sheikh shared with the media representative that he would have been seen as a Father in the latest superhit movie Bollywood Veere di Wedding.
The movie was being banned by the Pakistani censor board from being shown at cinemas over inappropriate content.
Javed Sheikh, who has been a part of many Bollywood movies, was approached to play Kareena’s father in the film which released last week.
Sheikh told that“I was approached by Anil Kapoor’s office over a year ago to play the role of Kareena’s father in the film.”
The veteran actor said that he had a successful meeting with the director and producer of the film and everything was finalized.
“My shooting dates had been set and my wardrobe was also ready,” he continued adding that this was during the time Kareena was expecting her son, Taimur Ali Khan.
“However, the shooting dates were changed as Kareena or the whole crew decided that it was difficult to shoot while she was expecting,” said Sheikh.
Somehow the Pak- India relations went worst during the days of the movie shooting and that was the time when the movie producers thought of casting someone else.
Javed Sheikh is hopeful that the things will get better between the neighbors and thinks that the actors should not be banned by any political authority and the exchange of talented should not be stopped.
In the end of the talk, Sheikh said that “We [actors] are ambassadors of peace”. and we also agree with him on this!
