Pakistani movie Chalay thay Saath to be presented at SCO Film Festival

SHANGHAI- Pakistani movie Chalay Thay Saath was being added in Netflix watch list last month. It was surely a good news for Pakistani movie stars.

The movie is again in the news as the actress Syra Shahroz’s debut film Chalay Thay Sath will be screened at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival in China.

Chalay Thay Saath was released on April 21, 2017. It is a romantic movie based on an intercultural love story between a Pakistani girl and a Chinese tourist. The movie featured Syra Shahroz, Kent S Leung, Mansha Pasha, Osama Tahir and Zhalay Sarhadi.

The movie is being picturized at the beautiful valleys and landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage has selected Chalay Thay Saath to represent Pakistan at the Infocus programme as well as the FilmMart expo.

Syra Shahroze was seen with S Leung at the red carpet of the event with smile and excitement on the face.

While talking to a local newspaper representative Syra said that “From full house screening in Hong Kong to getting selected in several film festivals, it’s done tremendously well post it’s Pakistan release. One of those festivals was the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Film Festival.”

Furthermore, she expressed her happiness by saying, “Now, it’s making its way to the SCO film festival in China and I’m super thrilled to be representing Pakistan on an international platform.”

Pakistan is one of the 12 countries to have been invited to participate in the SCO festival.  Pakistani movies are reviving after a dark period and are starting to be recognized internationally also!
