Samsung Note 9 to feature Bixby button and 960fps video footage twice as S9

SEOUL – South Korean tech giant Samsung is going to launch Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.

The smartphone’s design and specification has already been revealed ahead of its launch, according to a latest leaked image of rugged phone case; the new phablet is much identical to its predecessor – Galaxy Note 8.

The new case images suggest that the smartphone will feature a Bixby button and the 3.5mm audio jack which is too rare in flagship devices.

The Bixby button goes above the Volume rocker; the bottom has the audio jack, USB-C port, microphone, speaker and S-Pen slot lined up from left to right, with the case having a rubbery flap for all the openings to keep dust and other particles away.

Although the back side of the case is pictured, the camera cutout is peeking over the edge of the phone, suggesting the camera setup will stay horizontal as in the Galaxy Note8, but the fingerprint scanner is moving below the snappers and the heart rate monitor.

Moreover, another rumor suggests that the Galaxy Note 9 will be capable of shooting 960fps video for 0.4 seconds which is twice as long as the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus – 0.2 seconds.

The device will pack a big 4,000 mAh battery, an S Pen that’s Bluetooth enabled for the first time, and an Infinity Display marginally bigger than the one in the S9+.

As far as specifications are concerned the smartphone features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and 18:5 aspect ratio.

All the details and specification will be confirmed at the official launch event on August 9.
