RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army announced on Friday major reshuffle in high ranking officers, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
According to military’s media wing, Lt Gen Bilal Akbar has been appointed as corps commander Rawalpindi, while Lt Gen Mohammad Naeem Ashraf has been posted as corps commander Multan.
Similarly, Lt Gen Hamayoun Aziz has been transferred to Karachi as corps commander, the press release said.
Lt Gen Nadeem Raza has been appointed as chief of general staff, while Lt Gen Abdullah Dogar will hold the designation of chairman heavy industry Taxila.
According to the ISPR’s statement, Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza has been appointed as Inspector General of Communications and IT.
