MUMBAI – The all-time favorite actor of Bollywood Naseeruddin Shah has expressed his views regarding the current situation of Bollywood movies. The actor is known for his roles in movies like A Wednesday and Nishant shared his disappointment with the Bollywood industry and wants to see a change in the type of movies being produced.
While attending a literary event of the Mountain Echoes Shah shared that”It has been an eventful journey and if I had a chance to live again, I would love to do it in the same way. I feel fortunate about the life I have lived”.

He was part of a session named as “And then one day. Shah, however, said that he was not very optimistic about the film industry.
“I am pretty much fed up with the kind of movies we make. I am not very optimistic about the film world in Bombay,” the 68-year-old actor stated.
He maintained that the Hindi film industry is “all fluff” and it is hard to find anything that will make him thrive in the industry. He said he was no longer interested in “60-day shoots” and was only doing movies that demanded lesser time on his part.

“Theatre is what I want to focus more on. At least you can turn back the pages and play Shakespeare or any great works,” the Mirza Ghalib movie actor said.
He maintained that it is difficult to find any creative work in Bollywood and that web platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime are the future of film viewing. “I am certain that in the next few years all the cinema halls will disappear,” he continued.
In reply to the question on the functioning of the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC), often referred to as the censor board, Naseeruddin said that he has “never been able to understand” how they function. But he acknowledged that the board must have its own reasons and said it was easy to blame them.

The actor also shared that “space for reasonable debate” was shrinking in India and that it is impossible to make movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron these days.
We must say Naseeruddin is a true artist by all means. One can simply fell in love with the way he delivers roles with full energy and depth.
