14 Iranian soldiers kidnapped near border with Pakistan: reports

TEHRAN – Fourteen Iranian security personnel were allegedly kidnapped near the Pakistan-Iran border on Tuesday, Iranian state media reported.

The abducted officials, including two Revolutionary Guards intelligence officers and seven volunteers in the Basij militia, were abducted in the wee hours in the Lulakdan village near the border.

Lulakdan is located 150 kilometre southeast of Zahedan, capital of the province of Sistan-Balochistan.

The state media claimed that they were kidnapped by a terrorist group; however, the name of the outfit has not been reported.
