The news of his detention in the United States sparked an outrage among his fans in India and the Indian media questioned why the actor was being detained again and again for no considerable reason.
This also pushed US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal to express a regret. She tweeted: “Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk – even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!”
