KARACHI (APP) - President Mamnoon Hussain says implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will enhance significance of Pakistan in the region.

Addressing Pak-China Medical Congress in Karachi, he said CPEC and bilateral cooperation in other sectors, including medical, will further cement the deep friendly ties between the two countries.

He said such a collaboration will help open new avenues of development and enable the government to serve the people in a better way.

The President said there has been no change in the route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said Gwadar port is a game changer project which would have positive impact on national economy.

Referring to the law and order situation in the country, the President said results of operation Zarb-i-Azb are very positive and by the end of the year the area will be made completely peaceful.

He said Karachi operation will be taken to its logical conclusion. The purpose of the operation is to fully restore peace in the metropolis.
