LAHORE – Dr Tahirul Qadri had to come out of his car and tend to a worker of his party – Pakistan Awami Tehreek – who accidentally got hit by his car in Lahore on Saturday.

In a video recorded by a bystander, Dr Qadri is seen giving a bottle of water to the injured man.

The incident comes only a day after a minor boy and a 55-year-old man were killed by the convoy of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is rallying towards Lahore from Murree following his ouster by Supreme Court for hiding his undeclared assets.

12-year-old Hamid, a resident of Rehmat Abad town of Lala Musa, was run over by a vehicle of Elite force, part of PML-N’s motorcade heading towards Lahore on Friday.

In a stark contrast to Saturday’s incident, none of the rescue vehicles participating in the convoy, stopped to give life-saving treatment to the boy.

The child was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. His father fainted upon seeing his son’s body and was taken to the hospital. Initial reports suggest he is being treated for a heart attack.
