NEW ALBANY, Ohio (Staff Report) – Let go all the fears of losing your valuables, as this soft drawstring backpack promises ultimate security for your personal items. You can now work, play, travel and relax knowing your stuff cannot be tampered with or stolen.
The Flak Sack is a practical soft, flexible, attractive, drawstring backpack that is essentially a portable safe for belongings.
The new invention of LOCTOTE industrial bag company solves a problem faced daily by active people all over the world – where to put personal items like a cell phone, cash, electronics, keys, jewelry, and passport when they cannot be in direct control or in a constant field of vision.
When left behind, even when hidden in a coat pocket, shoe, or typical purse or backpack, these items are an easy target for thieves.
Secure Locking System
Flack Sack incorporates a hidden locking mechanism that enables the bag to be locked shut, and locked to a stationary object.
This patent-pending locking mechanism is extremely difficult to cut, and tested to handle over 1,000 lbs of force without breaking.
The bag is made from a proprietary extreme cut-resistant fabric that cannot be cut with scissors or knives.
You can lock it to a pole or seat. An added brass combination lock clasps through a grommet attached to the bag, closing a loop via a steel o-ring on the end of a nylon strap.
The straps are woven with thin stainless-steel cable to prevent cutting and would-be thieves snooping into your goods.
To prove it, the company’s CEO posted a video of himself getting slashed by a box cutter while wearing a t-shirt made of the same fabric, and sustaining no injuries.
Inside, the Flak Sack has a large waterproof pocket that is lined with an RFID shielding material that makes it impossible to scan personal data through the bag.
“This is the bag that everybody, at some point in their life, wishes they had,” said Don Halpern, LOCTOTE founder and CEO.
“Sometimes you just need a safe place to put stuff while you do something else, and you don’t want to hump around something heavy or impractical to do it. Our purpose for creating this bag really is that simple.”
However, the Flak Sack won’t solve all your pack needs, it’s small – 18 inches by 14 inches – and is suitable mainly as a beach bag or carry-on.
It’s also not the cheapest drawstring bag out there – not by a long shot. While the appeal of most drawstring bags is that they’re free or inexpensive, usually under $10, the Flak Pack commands an astounding $229 price tag.
