Mumtaz Qadri s Funeral: Matric exam cancelled in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has cancelled papers of matriculation part II examination to be held on Tuesday (today).

The examination has been cancelled amid tough security situation in Rawalpindi following the execution of Mumtaz Qadri, who killed former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer in 2011. His funeral is due today.

According to board officials, the papers have been cancelled only in sixty five examination centres of Rawalpindi city.

The cancelled papers will now take place on Thursday.
