LONDON – The world’s most expensive kippah (brimless cap, worn by Jews) was put up for sale at Jeweller Robert Goodman’s studio in central London on Friday in the run-up to Hanukkah celebrations.
The skullcap encrusted with over 3,500 sparkling Swarovski crystals and crowned with a two carat D-colour diamond is expected to fetch a staggering £125,000 ($168,500).
The kippah is a collaborative work of celebrity artist Toks Daniel with London jeweler and designer Robert Goodman.
The crystal-encrusted kippah will be launched by ‘VeryFirstTo’, whose founder, Marcel Knobil, described the item as ‘phenomenal’ and ‘absolutely dazzling’.

‘This really is a nod to taking an icon and presenting it in the most glamorous extravagant fashion possible,’ he said.
‘This kippah is truly exceptional. Throughout history, religious icons have been decorated in a beautiful fashion and this really is a nod to taking an icon and presenting it in the most glamorous extravagant fashion possible.’ he added.
Knobil continued that ‘we’re very confident that their prayers will be noticed, but we couldn’t guarantee that their prayers will be answered.’
Moreover, the designer Toks Daniel said that he had designed for the likes of the Jackson family adding that his boots were currently in the museum.
‘I’ve designed for NFL, football players, and many more prominent football players etc. politicians to say the least and this is just another part of my rise to the very top’ he vowed in excitement.
On the other hand, Robert Goodman declared the Kippah, the most unique and beautiful thing done in his career.
‘It’s very unique. We’ve done a lot of things over the last 20 years. But this is kind of a unique thing and beautiful as well.’ he affirmed.
