5 smartphones with most unique features

LAHORE – With each passing day, smartphone makers are coming up with inventions in the hope that they could easily gain an edge over their competitors. However, most of the mobile phones available in the markets contain more or less the same features, including latest camera technology and battery or smart screen.

But, there have been few exceptions – smartphones so unique that their features are never replicated.

Here we have a list of five ‘Most Unique Smartphones’ in the world:

Doogee BL12000

Chinese manufacturer Doogee has recently released its new smartphone BL12000. BL means ‘Battery Large’, a reference to the capacity of the battery in the phone. The phone breaks the Guinness World Record for the largest capacity (12000 mAh) battery in any smartphone till now.

BL12000 can provide 42 days’ standby time, 90 hours of calling time. The phone is equipped with 6.0 inch, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 2160*1080 resolution display powered with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T chipset that’s coupled with 4GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU.

The handset comes with 32GB of internal storage, while it also features microSD support of up to 256GB and runs on Android 7 Nougat.

The phone has dual-cameras on both its front and back. The rear composition includes one 16MP camera and an additional 13MP snapper. This allows for shallow depth-of-field/bokeh effects. At the front, you get a combination of a 16MP and 8MP wide-angle sensors that are suitable for group selfies.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

South-Korean tech giant launched Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom in 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is Samsung’s idea of the ultimate cameraphone a 4.3-inch Android smartphone with a full 10x optical zoom (24-240mm) camera lens equipped with 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, Xenon Flash, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 25 Smart modes.

The phone has 4.3 inches, 16:9 aspect ratios, and 540*960 resolution powered with Dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 Pega-Dual +XMM6262 chipset coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-400 GPU. Razer Phone

Singapore based company Razer Inc. launched its Razer Phone in 2017. The phone is focused on two core elements screen and sound. Most mobile device displays run at a 60Hz refresh rate but this 5.7-inch display packs the world’s first ‘120Hz’ refresh rate (120 redraws per second on screen) on a smartphone, and it’s flanked by Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers. The result is a handset that boasts some seriously strong credentials when it comes to visuals and audio, and with plenty of power under the hood.

The phone has 5.7-inch IGZO IPS LCD 16:9 aspect ratios, and 1440 x 2560 resolution screen powered with octa-core Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 8GB of Ram and Adreno 540 GPU. The handset comes with 64GB of internal storage, while it also features microSD support of up to 256GB and runs on Android 7 Nougat.

The Razer Phone comes with dual 12MP rear cameras, with one a telephoto f/2.4 lens and the other a wide-angle f/1.7 offering, while on the front there’s an 8MP snapper.

Razer has squeezed a sizable 4,000mAh battery into its smartphone.

Vivo X20 Plus UD

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has recently launched Vivo X20 Plus UD the world’s first phone featured with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Vivo uses Synaptics’s solution which is an optical-based sensor that works underneath an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display.

The phone has 6.43 inch of FullView AMOLED display 18:9 aspect ratios, and 1080*2160 resolution screen powered with octa-core Qualcomm MSM8956 Plus Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of Ram and Adreno 512 GPU. The handset comes with 128GB of internal storage, while it also features microSD support of up to 256GB and runs on Android 7 Nougat.

For imaging, it features 24MP + 5MP dual-cameras at the rear, while the front comes with a 24MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a 3,800mAh battery which supports fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy Round

South-Korean tech giant Samsung launched Samsung Galaxy Round in 2013. The phone is world’s first smartphone with a curved screen.

Samsung called it ‘Round Interaction,’ which allows users to look at information such as missed calls, battery life, and the date and time when they tilt it on a flat surface with the screen off. Samsung also claims that switching between home screens will feel like one continuous transition, and has worked on new tilt- and tap-based interactions for the music and photos apps.

The phone has 5.7-inch Super flexible AMOLED LCD 16:9 aspect ratios, and 1080*1920 resolution screen powered with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset coupled with 3GB of Ram and Adreno 330 GPU. The handset comes with 32GB of internal storage, while it also features microSD support of up to 64GB and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy Round comes with a 13MP rear autofocus camera, while on the front there’s a 2MP snapper and Powered with 2,800mAh of a battery.
