Javed Akhtar s tweet against Jinnah sparks online outrage

MUMBAI – Indian poet, lyricist and screenwriter, Javed Akhtar has come forward with a controversial tweet stating distress on the fact that Jinnah’s portrait is is placed in Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Javed Akhtar sated his argument that Jinnah’s portrait should be voluntarily removed by the students as he was neither a teacher, nor a student of Aligrah. His tweet was also in favour of Nathuram Godse.

Javed tweeted: “Jinnah was neither a student nor a teacher of Alig Its a shame that his portrait is there The administration n students should voluntarily remove it from there n those who were protesting against this portrait should now protest against the temples made to honour Godse.”
