NEW YORK – Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has moved down on Forbes 400 list of America’s wealthiest individuals, marking the first time since early 90s that tech pioneer is outside the top ten list.
The fortune of 68-year-old stands at $107 billion, down $4 billion from the previous year, despite significant gains. A key factor in this decline is said to be divorce from Melinda Gates, who has received a revised estimated net worth of $29 billion, making her the ninth-richest woman in the U.S.
In recent list, Bill Gates slipped to twelfth place on the list of world’s wealthiest individuals, marking the first time since 1991 that he has fallen out of the top ten. American billionaire now finds himself behind notable figures such as Elon Musk, Larry Ellison, and Jeff Bezos.
