NAP Implementation: Rs 10 billion provided to civil armed forces

ISLAMABAD – Rs 10 billion have been provided to the civil armed forces for capacity building purposes under the National Action Plan (NAP), the National Assembly was informed.

According to details, the Lower House was told that federal and provincial government are effectively implementing the NAP and armed forces have improved a lot to confront the menace of terrorism.

Parliamentary Secretary for Interior Maryam Aurangzeb, during question hour on Friday, said that as many as 28 new wings of civil armed forces have been raised as per the National Action Plan at a cost of about 30 billion rupees.

The National Action Plan was agreed by all of the political parties after Army Public School carnage in 2014. The 20-point anti-terrorism action plan was also approved the Parliament.
