First official trailer of 'Joker' will remind you of Heath Ledger

LAHORE - Joker's trailer is making people await the film badly which is still a few months away from hitting the theatres.

Following Tuesday's CinemaCon panel, Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for Todd Phillips’ Joker online.

Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix in the iconic role, and the film, which is scheduled to hit theatres October 4, also includes appearances by Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Bill Camp, Marc Maron and many others.

This has the whiff of Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning turn as the Joker — without this being Batman’s franchise.

Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the Joker character may rival that of Heath Ledger’s, fans have said.

Joker is a result of our fascination with villains and how they came to be, and our familiarity with the Batman mythos.

The Joker becoming the protagonist of a movie didn’t come out of nowhere. He has been a character we hate to love yet love to hate and that is where Joker gets to be a hero sometimes.

Heath Ledger will however be the number one Joker of all times.
