LAHORE – Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistan’s Test skipper have rejoined the Pakistan cricket team in Australia ahead of the three-match Test series starting from December 15.
The 42-year-old had to cut short his New Zealand tour last month and return to Pakistan following the news of the death of his father-in-law. In his absence vice captain Azhar Ali had led the team in the second Test at Hamilton.
“Upon joining the team the skipper took part in a three-hour training session with his teammates”, reported Geo TV on Monday.
Pakistan team began training from today (Monday) ahead of their three-day warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI starting from Thursday in Cairns.
The first Test between Pakistan and Australia is from Dec 15-19 at The Gabba in Brisbane. The second Test will start at the MCG from Dec 26 and the third Test at the SCG from Jan 3.
