Na Maloom Afraad 2: Film receives mixed reviews, lots of criticism over vulgar jokes

Na Maloom Afraad 2 was released all over Pakistan on Eid-ul-Azha, along with competitor movie ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’.

While PNJ has been receiving applaud all over, there was criticism over Na Maloom Afraad 2’s ‘obscenity’ and ‘vulgar jokes’.

Alot of the audience commented on social media that the movie was perfect direction and well-thought, but that women were  given ‘less screen time’ and had no ‘REAL’ role to play in the movie.

Many felt that it was uncomfortable to watch with their families, and that the movie was ‘bold’ right from the start, when the trailers were launched.

“I was expecting a family movie this Eid, because on Eid you need something to do and we all rush to the cinemas to enjoy movies. What’s upsetting is that they made what MEN want to see, not what families could enjoy. The women being objectified and showing off their skin makes us women feel uncomfortable in the cinemas; it was as if the male audience were targetted in the movie,” claims Saira, a movie enthusiast.

Another cinema goer was of the opinion that people don’t want to watch movies that reflect upon the country’s social issues and crisis, & have become only money-making mediums.

“Please don’t waste your time watching the film, it has vulgar jokes and honestly felt disgusting watching the movie with my mother & father on Eid,” Ayesha Akram, a movie enthusiast, told Daily Pakistan exclusively.
