ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar has called upon the international community to take notice of genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
In a statement in Islamabad, he said silence of the United Nations and other world bodies over the massacre of Rohingya Muslims has raised many questions. Ch Nisar said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Federal Ministers expressed concern over the issue during the recent Cabinet meeting. He said the Prime Minister has constituted a Special Committee to provide relief to Rohingya Muslims.
A meeting of this committee will be held in Islamabad tomorrow to take stock of the situation in Myanmar. The meeting will be attended by its members including Interior Minister, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.
