LAHORE – Lollywood actor Babrik Shah becomes the latest target of social media trolls after a BTS clip from one of his upcoming films went viral, with users calling the sequence “cringe.”
The actor, son of legendary film star Tariq Shah, has recently been making headlines for his outspoken remarks about Pakistan’s entertainment industry. Through podcasts and interviews, Babrik has repeatedly claimed that today’s actors lack the charm of Lollywood’s golden era while taking digs at several stars, including Imran Abbas.
Now, however, social media users have turned the spotlight on Babrik himself. The viral BTS footage shows the actor filming a dance sequence with a woman dressed in a bright red saree featuring black lace detailing and an embellished sleeveless blouse. As actress performs dance moves, Babrik is seen smiling, posing, and flashing double peace signs behind her.

The scene was filmed inside room but it wasn’t the set that caught everyone’s attention. Instead, the clip quickly spread across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and X, where users relentlessly mocked the visuals and questioned the film’s production quality.
One user joked, “They look like Maa and Beta.” Another said, “This is the same man who lectures everyone on podcasts about acting standards.” A third commented, “Who is watching these films in 2026?”
Several users also accused Babrik Shah of holding fellow actors to standards that they believe are not reflected in his own work, turning the clip into a fresh round of trolling.
Shah has yet to respond to the online criticism, the viral video has reignited debate over his frequent criticism of Lollywood and whether outspoken celebrities should expect the same level of scrutiny from audiences.
