LAHORE- Children are innocent souls and they are to be protected from this cruel world. Child abuse has been an evil act that exists worldwide, however, the cases reported are nothing compared to the real numbers.
Every day, there are numerous kids who become victim to such episodes, but a few incidents lately shook hearts and forced the society to speak up and create awareness. In early 2018, a young child named Zainab was raped and murdered in Kasur, Punjab, Pakistan.
Kasur was in the news before also regarding the child abuse issues and Zainab was not a solitary victim of the killer, Imran, who had abducted, raped and killed 10 other young girls before Zainab.
The nation of Pakistan strongly condemned this brutal act and it was being taken into consideration by the government also. Many Ngo’s, Celebrities, Party Leaders, Activists played their role in getting justice for Zainab and her family.
The public vowed to find Zainab’s killer. The culprit was soon caught and sentenced after the proofs were found against him via DNA and CCTV footage.
A national Pakistani channel is going to release a telefilm that would be named ‘Zainab Ke Qaatil'(Zainab’s Murderers) based on the brutal happenings of the case. Sources say that it is a film that depicts the exact events as they followed which resulted in Zainab’s murder.
Such films create awareness among the public and are a source of guidance for the people to stay protected from such inhumane/cruel acts which are ‘The darker sides of the society’.
