ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan strongly denounced terror attack near Karachi airport last night, which resulted in the tragic deaths of two Chinese engineers.
In a statement, Foreign Office extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, both Chinese and Pakistani, and expressed hopes for the swift recovery of those injured.
It described an attack not only on Pakistan but also on the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China while authorities vowed to bring those responsible to justice, including the Majeed Brigade, emphasizing that the nation’s security and law enforcement agencies will spare no effort in apprehending the culprits and their supporters.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Chinese Embassy to ensure coordination and support. Ties between both nations are characterized as a strong partnership, underpinned by mutual respect and shared aspirations, it said.
The government reiterated its unwavering commitment to protecting the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions within the country and pledged to work closely with Chinese authorities to combat terrorism.
