ISLAMABAD – A new monsoon spell is likely to begin in different parts of the country from tomorrow (Sunday) and it may turn out to be quite stormy.
According to a Pakistan Meteorological Department spokesperson, heavy downpours are expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab and Kashmir from Sunday to Thursday while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive the rains from Tuesday.
He said the monsoon spell will also lash Sindh and Balochistan provinces from Friday to Sunday. The spokesperson further added that the rain will continue intermittently which may trigger flash floods in Barsati nullahs and land-sliding in mountainous areas.
