Arun Rupesh Maini, the British YouTuber better known as Mrwhosetheboss, has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a Guinness World Record for the largest smartphone replica ever created. Standing at an impressive 6.74 feet tall, this colossal iPhone 15 Pro Max is a new benchmark in technology and social media.

Maini’s monumental project was realized in collaboration with fellow YouTuber Matthew Perks, known for his DIYPerks channel. The duo undertook this ambitious project to celebrate Maini’s milestone of surpassing Apple in YouTube subscribers. In a triumphant Instagram post, Maini shared, “We DID IT. To celebrate overtaking Apple in subscribers, we built the largest, most powerful iPhone on the face of the earth. So much work from so many people has gone into this; you’re going to want to see the YouTube vid, it’s live now.”

The giant iPhone features an astounding 128GB of RAM, an AMD 6950 XT dedicated graphics card, and a 24-core Intel i9 processor. It also includes a 25x optical zoom camera and can record in 8K video. The replica is fully functional, with a touchscreen keyboard, phone call capabilities, video calling, music playback, and even selfies—all demonstrated by Maini after receiving his Guinness World Records certification.

Reflecting on his achievement, Maini expressed his pride and excitement. “It feels like a full-circle moment. I’m so proud of both our team and Matt for pulling off what’s never been done before,” he told Guinness World Records. “Growing up, I would disappear into the library for hours to read the latest Guinness World Records books, so achieving an award myself feels absolutely surreal.”

Unveiled on August 29, 2024, in London, UK, the record-breaking iPhone has captured the public’s imagination. The accompanying YouTube video has already amassed over 2.5 million views and is trending at number 16. The video has received enthusiastic feedback from viewers, celebrating this creative and technological achievement.

Arun Maini, who started his YouTube journey in 2011, and Matthew Perks, known for his oversized and miniature gadget creations, have set a new standard in both engineering and social media innovation with this groundbreaking accomplishment.
