BuzzFeed caught faking news by WikiLeaks

WASHINGTON – American internet media company BuzzFeed News faced much embarrassment on Wednesday when its claim about Apple was quashed by WikiLeaks.

BuzzFeed through its Twitter handle shared a news suggesting that Apple has patched the vulnerabilities mentioned by WikiLeaks.

The Tweet pointed to a link on BuzzFeed website as well but global whistleblower WikiLeaks through the same microblogging site replied that Apple has not fixed those vulnerabilities.

WikiLeaks prompt action was retweeted several times.

Earlier, WikiLeaks in its massive stash of leaked documents blew the lid off CIA’s covert programs in action around the world to spy on public using Android and Apple handheld devices.
