The Stanford Sexual assault case is not considered over yet although the guilty has been sentenced to six months in prison with probation.
The case was first reported in January 2015 when Brock Allen Turner an ex student at Stanford publicly raped a 23 year old student.
The judge who read the decision sentencing Turner to six months in prison is receiving life threats and disrespectful letters and calls. The public believes that only six months in prison is not enough for an offence of this nature.
Public opinion is unanimously in favor of ousting the judge, especially since he had ignored the jury’s recommendations for a harsher sentence. A petition against the judge is presently being signed by public.

“Even if the sentence is light, hopefully this will wake people up. I want the judge to know that he ignited a tiny fire. This is a reason for all of us to speak louder,” said the victim.
A letter by the victim, showing her outrage at Turner’s underhanded defense and light sentence, has also gone viral.
Congress is very likely to enter into a bipartisan exercise sometime next week over the matter. Jackie Speier the California Representative for Congress has announced that the body will read the victim’s letter.
