Turkey shot down Russian jet for violating airspace

ANKARA (Web Desk) – A Russian jet have been shot down by Turkish Air Force for violating airspace, said media reports on Saturday.

According to media reports the eyewitnesses saw a large explosion in Huraytan, northern Syria, while three fighter jets were hovering above.

The reports further added that three Turkish planes were actually responding to “mysterious” lock-ons from Mig-29 jets, which are used by Russian forces.

Turkish authorities yet remain to confirm the event.
