Here is what Change the Clap means for the transgender community

LAHORE – Helping the transgender community, ‘Asia Pacific Transgender Network’ has recently launched an initiative with the hashtag #ChangeTheClap in hopes of making way for the transgender community to provide them with a better and respectful life.

Featuring Kami Sid and many others from the transgender community in the one and a half minute video, the initiative is to make the people of the community realise the wrongs being done to transgenders. The purpose of the campaign is to change the ‘ridicule into applause’.
