Wear nappies, China advises flight attendants to reduce COVID-19 risk

BEIJING – The Civil Aviation Administration of China has advised cabin crew of its airlines to wear disposable diapers during the flight and not use the toilet to reduce risk of contracting COVID-19.

The aviation regulator has issued 49-page instructions for flight attendants to curb spread of the virus.

The recommendation applied to charter flights flying to and from high-risk Covid-19 countries where positive cases exceed 500 in every one million people.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, flight attendants are advised to wear personal protective gear, including face mask, disposable gloves, goggles, etc.

But an advice about wearing nappies is a new addition to the safety measures being taken by China.
