PESHAWAR – Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk Tuesday strongly condemned the bomb blast in Peshawar, which caused loss of precious human lives and injuries.
Awami National Party (ANP) candidate for provincial assembly seat (PK-78) Haroon Bilour was among those martyred in the suspected suicide blast, occurred in the corner meeting of ANP in Yakka Toot area of Peshawar.
CCPO Peshawar Qazi Jameel put the death toll from the blast at 14. He said that nearly 8 kilograms of TNT explosives were used in the blast.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) confirmed that it was a suicide blast.

Another 47 people are being treated for multiple injuries at different hospitals. Zulfiqar Ali Babakhel, a spokesman for the Lady Reading Hospital, confirmed the death toll from the blast saying that 47 wounded persons were brought to the hospital.
Confirming Haroon Bilour’s death, the spokesman said that Haroon’s son, Danial Bilour, was safe.
Haroon was the son of Bashir Ahmed Bilour, a senior ANP figure who was himself martyred in a suicide blast in Peshawar in 2012.
