ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that progress and development of newly merged tribal areas is the major priority in the upcoming budget, the Radio Pakistan reported.
The premier said this during a briefing of the 2019-20 budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in Islamabad on Monday.

The meeting briefed about the basic structure of the budget.
It was apprised that special focus is being paid to enhance the economic resources of the province.
To ensure the development of newly merged areas with the KP, the prime minister directed that austerity measures should be taken according to the economic situation of the country.
He also appreciated suggestions from federal departments in cutting down expenses.
The premier said that savings of these cut downs will be spent on the development of less developed areas.
