Qatar reopens embassy in Iraq after 25 years

BAGHDAD (Web Desk) – Qatar government has once again sent ambassador in Iraq in a bid strengthen friendly ties after 25 years since the embassy was closed in Baghdad.

The step is followed by a recent meeting of Iraqi President Fouad Masoum Qatar’s emir Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani.

During the meeting both leaders decided to reopen the Qatari diplomatic mission in Iraq once again. They also agreed on issues such as fighting terrorism and improving bilateral ties.
