ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday reiterated the targeted operation in Karachi will meet its logical end and that government is ready to take every step to reduce the problems faced by businessmen.
The prime minister, while addressing a meeting with delegation of chambers of commerce and exporter groups, said the operation was launched upon demand of all political parties and situation has improved during last two years. “The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have restored peace in Karachi and businessmen are coming back to the city,” he said.
He expressed his confidence in LEAs to restore complete peace in the provincial capital in next one and a half year.
The premier urged the business community to give their valuable inputs to fix the problem of stagnant growth in exports.
The Prime Minister said the government is also aware of the problems of agriculture sector caused by slump in prices of commodities in Pakistan and the international markets. He said we are paying attention to address the problems of farmers community.
Meanwhile the prime minister Nawaz Sharif has reject a proposal of business community to reduce the value of Pakistani Rupee against US dollar to increase the exports. The government does not want to create any problem for Pakistanis by taking any such risky steps, he said.
