Imran Khan comes out of plane barefooted as he reaches Madinah
LAHORE - Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, has again become a social media sensation after his video of coming out of an aeroplane without shoes after reaching Madina went viral.
In the video and pictures circulating on social media including YouTube and Facebook, the PTI leader can be seen wearing grey socks without shoes as he emerged from a chartered plane at an airport in the Kingdom.
Social media users remarked that Khan carried out this action in order to show respect for the land where the tomb of Prophet (PBUH) is situated.

Imran Khan proceeded to Saudi Arabia along with his wife Bushra Maneka and a close confidante Zulfi Bukhari on Monday to perform Umrah through a chartered flight.
As the plane touched down the airport in Madinah, the PTI chief and others were received by Kingdom's officials.
Later, they headed to Roze-e-Rasool in Masjid-i-Nabvi where they spent the 27th night of Ramazan and offered prayers. They are expected to reach Makkah tomorrow to perform Umrah.
Imran Khan and his wife are expected to return to Pakistan before Eid ul Fitr.
