Landlord kills eight-year-old child after donkey trespasses into his field

ABBOTTABAD – An eight -year-old child was allegedly killed by a local landlord over trespassing of donkey into his field, police said on Thursday.

Maskeen, an owner of the field, got infuriated after finding a donkey in his farm. On this, he tied the hands of a child, Mudassar, with the donkey as punishment. Later, the animal dragged the boy around the whole field that led to his death.

The horrific incident that shocked the locals took place in the jurisdiction of the Lora Police Station in Kangar Meera village, Abbottabad.

According to the father, Shair Afzal of deceased kid, Mudassar had gone to take back the donkey from landlord’s field however, the influential man tied the boy to the donkey and started beating him.

“The donkey covered a distance of few kilometres dragging the boy on road leading to his death”, he added.

The accused, Makeen, was taken into custody by police and a case has subsequently been registered against him, DPO Abbottabad Ashfaq Anwar informed the media.

The prime suspect was also presented before a local court on Thursday after which he was handed over to police on two days remand.

Moreover, the family of the deceased appealed to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan and IGP to provide justice to them.
