MOSCOW – A military-style helicopter came within meters of hitting a vehicle in Russia after it was filmed flying extremely low over a major highway.
Dashcam footage filmed in May captured the heart-stopping incident along the Rostov-Baku route, Gudermes, in Russia’s Chechen Republic. The startling clip shows two helicopters buzzing over the highway that runs between Russia and Azerbaijan.

One of the choppers pulls off an amazing feat of flying at speed right down the center of the road. With vehicles travelling on both sides of the highway, one false move could have been devastating.
It is not clear why the helicopters were flying so low or who was operating them, though they appear similar to those of the Russian Air Force fleet.
