Case against Capt. Safdar, PM s son-in-law, for lying about assets dropped by ECP

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Election Commission of Pakistan has adjourned a case against son in law of PM Nawaz, Captain Safdar without holding any hearings.

According to media reports, Cheif Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan postponed the case adding that four members of the ECP had retired on June 12, leaving the commission has become dysfunctional. No case will be entertained till the appointment of members.

Earlier, Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf had filed an application with the ECP seeking the disqualification of Captain (r) Mohammad Safdar for concealing the offshore assets of his wife in the nomination papers submitted with the commission for the 2013 general elections.
