Lahore – After a successful bridal and formal wear season, the design house Nickie Nina has launched their new Luxury/Pret collection, “High Tide”. The event took place on Monday, 8th of May 2017 at their flagship store on MM Alam Road, Lahore.
The event was a success and among the many prominent people who attended the private view were Aamna Taseer, Amal Khan, Amber Liaqat, Ayesha Sana, Fauzia Imran, Maryam Mehmood, Mehak Rizvi, Momina Sibtain, Naila Ishtiaq and Naz Mansha.
Nickie Nina’s new collection is simplified and minimalistic. It aims to have an on the go approach to fashion, embodying exquisite traditional handmade fabric by the women of South Punjab. Nickie Nina made use of this fabric to promote the skills of these hard working women, empowering them and giving them an opportunity leading to a sustainable income and better quality of life. With a bright and lively palette, the collection encapsulates the true essence of a tropical summer which dawns the aura of the season. The designers have made use of materials such as organza, silk, chiffon and embroidered fabric with a chic summer flare, giving it a fresh and contemporary outlook.
“The main concept and inspiration behind ‘High Tide’ essentially were tropical forest contemporary and silhouettes. It was to bring forth the feeling of summer, and to us, it wasn’t just about what the collection would look like but also how it would feel,” said the designers behind the label, talking about their collection. “Working with the delicately embroidered fabric has been very alluring for us.”
