BHUBANESHWAR – Belgium lifted the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 title after defeating the Netherlands in the penalty shoot-outs in the Indian city of Bhubaneswar in Odrsia State on Sunday.
The match began at 6:30pm (PKT).
Both the teams were at level 2-2 after five penalties. Belgium and the Netherlands were goal-less at full time.

Belgium and the Netherlands marched into the final of the tournament after emerging victorious in their respective semi-final clashes on Saturday.
Earlier, the last edition champions Australia secured a consolation bronze medal after mauling England 8-1 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Three goals came from the stick of Tom Craig while Jeremy Hayward struck twice for Australia in the bronze medal play-off.
Blake Govers , Trent Mitton and Tim Brand were the other goal getters for Australia. World number 7 England’s lone goal in the match came from the stick of Barry Middleton in the 45th minute.
