The Sammi star has just signed up to star in Hum TV’s upcoming pre-partition drama.
Sources reveal that Mawra Hocane will be starring in Aangan, a period drama with Momina Duraid Productions and the mastermind behind the hit series Udaari that is Ehteshamuddin. Ehteshamuddin’s works also include popular series like Sadqay Tumhare and Aseerzadi. The script is written by Mustafa Afridi.
Since the play is set in pre-partition times, it is expected to be a big budget production with lots of preparation involved. Sources close to Mawra also state that she is thrilled to be shooting with Ehteshamuddin, particularly because it is something very different than the previous projects that she has worked on.
