Veteran Bollywood actress Reema Lagoo passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59. She has played the role of a mother in many Bollywood movies including Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya, Akshay Kumar’s Jai Kishan, Sridevi Gumrah, Madhuri Dixit’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Shah Rukh Khan’s Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Reema reportedly felt chest pain on Wednesday night and she was taken to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri, Mumbai where she breathed her last.
The actress was married to Marathi actor Vivek Lagoo and the couple had a daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo. However, the couple later parted ways.
This is perhaps the second biggest loss for Bollywood this year after the death of Vinod Khanna.
