FAISALABAD – Markhors defeated Dolphins by 92 runs in the sixth match of the Champions One-Day Cup at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium on Wednesday.

It is the third victory of Markhors in the tournament.

Defending 285, Mohammad Rizwan’s side bowled out Dolphins for 192. Earlier, Kamran Ghulam’s century helped Markhors post 284/9. Ghulam, after the team lost two quick wickets, played a brilliant knock of 113 off 110 balls, hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes. He was eventually dismissed by Sameen Gul.

Rizwan contributed a steady 51 off 67 balls, while Salman Agha added 49 from 47. Despite late wickets, tailenders chipped in with crucial runs, with Zahid Mahmood unbeaten on 15 and Akif Javed smashing 6 off the final ball.

Dolphins’ Faheem Ashraf was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for 43 runs, including key dismissals of Iftikhar Ahmed and Abdul Samad. Mir Hamza also grabbed two wickets.

In reply, Dolphins struggled to build momentum. Sahibzada Farhan’s 24 off 35 balls provided some stability, but Muhammad Hurraira fell for a duck, and Muhammad Akhlaq managed just 1 run. Captain Saud Shakeel’s 41 off 56 balls gave hope, but after his dismissal at 99-5, the chase faltered.

Asif Ali fought back with a quick 50 off 43 balls, hitting three boundaries and three sixes, but his efforts couldn’t save the team. Dolphins were bowled out for 192 in 43.5 overs, with Mohammad Imran and Salman Agha each taking three wickets for Markhors.
