NEW DELHI – Hindu nationalist and extremist parties BJP and Akali Dal (SAD) in India have demanded to oust Navjot Singh Sidhu from Punjab cabinet over his remarks in favour of Pakistan, the Radio Pakistan reported.
Members of two parties in Indian Punjab Assembly disrupted the House proceedings by raising slogans against Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his recent remarks on the Pulwama terror attack.
Navjot Sidhu had expressed his opinion that Pakistan can’t be blamed over Pulwama attack in occupied Kashmir.
Relations between the two countries have deteriorated following an attack on Indian forces in Indian-Administered Kashmir. The Pulwama attack claimed the lives of over 40 Indian paramilitary troops.
India has claimed that Pakistan is responsible for the attack, however, Pakistan has denied this and offered its assistance to find the true culprits.
