ISLAMABAD – Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari on Tuesday released performance report of the first 100 days of her ministry.
The report consists of an overview of the ministry, its key functions, legislative and international milestones in 100 days, and the National Action Plan, a press release said.
It also gives a detailed account of the structure of the ministry, inputs it receives from different sources, the legislation it recommends, and the research it undertakes.

According to the report, the Human Rights Ministry drafted nine bills, including Zainab Alert Bill, Corporal Punishment Bill, Domestic Workers Bill, Disability Bill, Christian Marriage and Divorce Bill, The Punjab Sikh Anand Karaj Marriage Bill, Enforced Disappearances Bill, Legal Aid and Access to Justice Bill, 2018, and Anti-Torture Bill.
Besides awareness campaigns and redressal of human rights complaints, three pieces of research, including research on inheritance, street children and harmonization of laws, and three policies, including Women Empowerment Policy and Policy on Child Abuse, were also formulated within 100 days.
